AMHS (Air Traffic Services (ATS) Message Handling System), as specified in the ICAO ATN (Aeronautical Telecommunications Network) SARPs, is the new standard for ground to ground messaging communications, which is being adopted rapidly and will eventually replace existing AFTN (Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network) and CIDIN systems.

This course provides an independent view of AMHS for ANSPs considering implementing AMHS.  It is not specific to any particular supplier's systems, although information on suppliers is included.  The course covers the entire area of AMHS from the ICAO 'Global' perspective right down to the workings of each of the systems and protocols involved.  This is ideal for those in the very early stages of implementation - prior to commitment, design and procurement.

Full colour workbooks and certificates are provided to each participant.

Who should attend?

ANSPs, Airports, Airlines, Emergency Services, Meteorological Offices

The course is suited to Users, Implementers, Administrators, Technicians and Managers who may become involved in AMHS implementation, procurement or operation. Students will gain a thorough understanding of AMHS, its capabilities, Architecture, Implementation issues and Global/Regional and ANSP internal perspectives.

Helios is located at Farnborough AeroPark - just 500m from the runway at Farnborough Airport.
