Join the UAV debate!
Wednesday, 02 June 2010 09:18

On 21st July Helios will be hosting an Open Forum to debate the challenges and prospects for future UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) operations.

The forum will consider the regulatory and technical barriers that are preventing UAVs realising their full operational potential – in particular focusing upon the air traffic management issues associated with securing early access to unsegregated airspace for UAVs. We will examine the safety principles that will guide the take-up of UAVs, look at case studies and debate the way forward.

Guest speakers will include Lt Cdr Gerry Corbett from the UK CAA, Craig Foster from NATS and Adrian Clough from QinetiQ.

The event will take place at our offices in Farnborough during the week of the world-famous Farnborough International Airshow. It will be followed by a buffet lunch and there will be time to enjoy the flying display in the afternoon, which is expected to include a demonstration of UAVs.

Attendance is free. As places are limited, we kindly ask that you register your interest by contacting This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by 28 June.
