Prior to joining Helios, I had been working as a consultant in the telecommunications industry for over 15 years, developing the capabilities of regulators and operators worldwide. I enjoyed my work and had no ambition to take an obtuse change in the direction of my career - however I felt the time was right to tackle some new challenges.

My decision to join Helios was driven, to a large extent, by the company’s desire to expand beyond its historical expertise base and its keenness to actively encourage new ideas and new channels for its skills and experience. Helios is a very positive and friendly company with a ‘can-do’ attitude and this fits well with my own approach to clients and opportunities.

Since joining Helios I’ve worked on a number of involving and rewarding projects which have both stretched my own knowledge as well as that of the company. Ranging in nature from complex technical analyses to business and policy decision support and market analysis, working for organisations with a tight focus on a specific market to those with a more holistic view of a complete environment, the work has been varied and interesting.

I have found Helios to be one of the most supportive environments in which I have worked. Unlike many organisations, Helios backs up its desire for growth with the necessary administrative, managerial and expert support as well as having a solid structure to assure the quality of its work. It’s also a happy place to work and although any good consultant will be very busy, Helios finds time for its staff to have fun too.
