On 21st April 2009, Her Majesty The Queen announced that Helios was the winner of a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious Awards for business performance. They recognise and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies.

To win the award Helios doubled its exports to an aggregate of £18m over 6 years and secured new customers in 15 countries. You can download the Summer 2009 issue of our newsletter dedicated to the Queen's Award.

This is the second Queen’s Award that Helios has won and we would like to thank all our customers, employees, colleagues and suppliers across the industry for their part in this success.

The official award ceremony took place on 10th September 2009 at our offices. Dame Mary Fagan DCVO JP, The Queen’s representative for the county of Hampshire, presented Managing Director Mike Shorthose with the glass rosebowl and the Grant of Appointment.
