From Guidelines to Reality: How to Develop an ATM Safety Case
Normal course duration: 1 day
Relying on the core material presented in the
superseding course: “From Guidelines to Reality: How to Develop a Safety Case”,
this course focuses in more depth on ANS software problems experienced today by
many industry practitioners. The course describes how to design ESARR
6-compliant (and EC Regulation 482/2008-compliant) software used either
directly in an operational environment or as a support service. The course
benefits from Helios’ expertise in EUROCONTROL Safety Regulatory Requirements
and the EUROCAE technical specification and Community Specification on Software
Assurance Levels (SWAL). As a result, the course provides practical solutions
for developing an ESARR 6 compliant safety case including the development of a
SWAL allocation process and the establishment of a software safety assurance
system. Guidance is also provided to manufacturers on the necessary software
safety assurance regarding products and processes.
